Photography Competition T&C's

  1. The subject for the Black Duck SeatCovers Calendar 2022 Photography Competition is "Black Duck SeatCovers - Bred for Adventure" The theme is open to individual interpretation, but entries must have Black Duck SeatCovers at heart.
  2. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  3. Entrants can submit one photo digitally using our online form or by emailing: Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  4. Images must be in a landscape format and of a high resolution suitable for print, size and quality.
  5. Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter, clearer etc, but not manipulate the content. Black Duck and the judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been disproportionately treated to alter its authenticity.
  6. Entrants under the age of 18 years must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter. Fill in the Parent Consent Form HERE
  7. Each entry must include the entrants details; name, age, contact telephone number, email address and where the photo was taken.
  8. Entrants must not be a professional photographer, for the purposes of this competition ‘professional’ will be considered as someone who makes more than half their earnings as a photographer.
  9. The competition ends at midnight on the 24th of October 2021, any entries received after this time will not be counted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges, they will consider a range of factors such as composition, technical ability, originality and interpretation of the theme.
  11. The 12 winners will have their picture featured as one of the monthly images used in the calendar.
  12. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of the copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained the permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
  13. Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries or won or been a runner up in any other photographic competition with any of their entries.
  14. Entrants will retain the copyright of the photographs that they submit to Black Duck SeatCovers. By entering the competition all entrants grant Black Duck SeatCovers the right to publish and exhibit their photographs for marketing purposes both digitally and in print
  15. The winners agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely for the purpose of Black Duck SeatCovers marketing will not be disclosed to a third party or for any other purpose without the entrant’s prior consent.
  16. All entries will be added to a Black Duck SeatCovers marketing mailing list from which entrants may unsubscribe at any time.
  17. Employees of Black Duck SeatCovers and agencies associated with the Competition as the case may be are ineligible to enter
  18. By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules and Black Duck SeatCovers reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if Black Duck SeatCovers has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.
  19. Black Duck SeatCovers reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of Black Ducks SeatCovers control.
  20. If the winner is unable to be contacted after 2 weeks; Black Duck SeatCovers reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
  21. The prize is as follows: The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  22. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
