Photographic Calendar Competition

Terms and Conditions

  1. The subject for the Black Duck Seat Covers Calendar 2020 Photography Competition is “Black Duck Seat Covers – Bred for Adventure” The theme is open to individual interpretation, but entries must have Black Duck Seat Covers at heart.
  2. Entrants can submit up to two photos digitally to our email address: competition@blackduck.com.au
  3. Images must be in a landscape format and of a high resolution suitable for print, size and quality.
  4. Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter, clearer etc, but not manipulate the content. Black Duck and the judges reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been disproportionately treated to alter its authenticity.
  5. Entrants under the age of 18 years must have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter.
  6. Each entry must include the entrants details; name, age, contact telephone number, email address and where the photo was taken.
  7. Entrants must not be a professional photographer, for the purposes of this competition ‘professional’ will be consider as someone who makes more than half their earnings as a photographer.
  8. The competition ends at midnight on 30th September 2019
  9. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges, they will consider a range of factors such as composition, technical ability, originality and interpretation of the theme.
  10. The winning picture will be featured as the front page of the 2020 Black Duck Seat Covers Calendar as well as a feature month within the calendar. The 11 runner ups will have their picture featured as one of the monthly images used in the calendar.
  11. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
  12. Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries or won or been a runner up in any other photographic competition with any of their entries.
  13. Entrants will retain copyright of the photographs that they submit to Black Duck Seat Covers. By entering the competition all entrants grant Black Duck Seat Covers the right to publish and exhibit their photographs in our calendar and across our social media outlets for the purpose of promoting the Calendar. Any further use of entered photography by Black Duck Seat Covers is subject to further agreement.
  14. Employees of Black Duck Seat Covers and immediate family members of Black Duck Seat Cover employees and agencies associated with the Competition as the case may be, are ineligible to enter
  15. By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these rules and Black Duck Seat Covers reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if Black Duck Seat Covers has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules.
  16. Black Duck Seat Covers reserves the right to cancel this competition or alter any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of Black Ducks Seat Covers control.
  17. If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made; Black Duck Seat Covers reserves the right to either offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future competition.
